Woop for ColourPop! I placed an order during the Labor day flash sale. All of these items were either 50% off or free. Can’t beat that.

If you aren’t familiar with the ColourPop Super Shock Shadows , they are a cream to powder formula best applied with a finger or a stiff, flat synthetic brush. I use them as a pop of color to a neutral eye or as a one swipe easy all over lid. The containers are deceptively large as the actual amount of shadow is just a bit more than a regular pressed shadow pan. I am really in love with the Super Shock Shadows consistency, high pigmentation, price point and lasting power. The only down side is that you MUST close the containers tightly to avoid them drying out.

A quick note about ColourPop’s highlighters and blushes. They are 100% total glitter bombs. If you aren’t into this kind of thing, you might want to pass šŸ™‚

12 Super Shock Shadows (High Rise, Donna, Head Rush, Moonwalk, Party of 5, Static, Melrose, White Rabbit, 8 Track, Reversible, I Spy, By My Side)

3 Highlighters (Perilune)

1 Blush (High Five)

1 Small Shader Brush

– $5 coupon code

Total $31.00

I ordered on 9/4/2017 and received it 9/14/2017. ColourPop apparently thinks this was too long to wait because they added the brush as a “We’re Sorry” gift!

  1. I’ve been wanting to order some of these. Now after seeing them on your site, first time here, I’m diving in. I don’t know if it’s the lighting of your camera or if what I’m seeing is your actual skin tone but out of ALL of the swatches I’ve seen, which has been too many to keep count of, your swatches/skin tone are very close to mine. A few weeks ago I needed a color like Static to go with my outfit choice but since I had nothing close to it in my makeup bag I landed out creating the color with what I had. I used a dark brown then proceeded to use blush, of all things, over it. I got close but instead of it being shimmery it was more of a matte finish. Now I can just buy ColorPops Static and call it a day, lol. Thanks so much for the article/swatches. I now have you book marked… āœ…

    1. Awww, I’m glad my swatches helped!

I don’t have any fancy setup and although, of course, I want the pictures to look nice, it’s more important to me that it’s an accurate representation of the product and the way it looks on me.

I’m sure you’ll love them. The biggest thing for me is being comfortable applying with my finger first and then blending out with a dense brush if needed.

You’ll have to come back and let me know what you think šŸ™‚

    1. Fallout is pretty minimal because of the cream consistency.

I use UD Primer Potion as a base and that helps keep it on too. I would say after about 5 hours or so, I will notice the glitteries under my eyes but it’s not as bad as some shimmery shadows I’ve tried šŸ™‚
