I was feeling pretty left out of the Sephora additional 20% off the already discounted sale items *Sale On Sale* event. The biggest hoopla was over the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette that was on sale for $26 (reg $42) but I already have that so pfffft.
I settled on this Make Up For Ever Artist palette Vol 2 – Artistic $20 (reg $44) in hopes of replacing the Kevyn Aucoin ElectroPop palette that I didn’t care for. I’ve never tried Make Up For Ever (don’t ask me why they insist on separating that into 4 words) shadows but most reviews are very favorable even though they’re not hyped up by the Beau-tube community.
My main interest with eyeshadow is always ease of use and this formula falls squarely into my top 3 of all time. There was no fallout or kick up, and the shadows lasted all day on my oily lids (over a primer of course). It’s hard to find a formula that gives great color and blends out easily but all of these did. I used a dense brush and my finger to apply, both worked great.
The only con of this palette is that now I want them all… sigh. Luckily, I can wait until there’s another great sale 🙂
